1984: TMNT launch in hugely successful independent comic
1987: TMNT aired ON TV for the first time as a 5 part mini-series
1988: In October, a regular Saturday morning syndicated TV series began with 13 episodes
1989: In September, the TV series expanded to weekdays and 47 new episodes were added. This led to a huge licensing program including Playmates toys, Konami video games and 3 blockbuster movies!
